About Cornutopia

Company History
The company was founded by Mark Sheeky in 1991 under the original name of Scorpius Software, developing shareware and commercial games for Amiga computers. Our first PC game was Arcangel in 1999, a squad level strategy game.
Cornutopia is based in South Cheshire in the United Kingdom and now develops and sells modern games and utilities for Windows PC's.
For the most part Mark Sheeky designs, programs and creates all of the necessary graphics and sound for the software devloped by Cornutopia. Andrew Williams assists with game designs and proofreading, and a small team of friends and volunteers help with the final stages of testing and feedback.
Dedicated To Games
At the start of 2003 Mark and Andrew launched www.bytten.com. An online magazine specialising in games by small independent developers of all abilities, the website reviews, previews and promotes this vast and creative area of gaming.
Mark also records sound effects and music for game developers and runs www.indiesfx.co.uk, one of the first and largest sound effects libraries designed specifically for games development. Andrew Williams runs www.indieproofing.co.uk, a service that provides proofreading of game text and websites to developers everywhere.
Cornutopia Music
In 2007 Cornutopia Music was formed. A record label and music publisher, Cornutopia Music provided an outlet for Cornutopia game music and the instrumental music of Mark Sheeky.
